Maison Lumière
A Brussels townhouse facade, restored
// Before → After
The transformation

A neglected 19th-century maison de maître in Ixelles returned to its former elegance — with a discreet glass rooftop added.
Behind decades of soot and graffiti we found a beautifully proportioned eclectic facade. Working with the heritage department, the blue stone was cleaned, the plasterwork rebuilt and the original window rhythm reinstated with high-performance anthracite steel frames.
On the roof, a light glass pavilion — invisible from the street — adds a winter garden with views over the city.
