Villa Horizon
A 1960s villa opens up to its garden
// Before → After
The transformation
A closed 1960s brick villa transformed with a cantilevered timber-and-glass garden wing and a reflecting pool.
The original villa turned its back on a magnificent garden. Our intervention keeps the existing volume but wraps it in white mineral render and adds a cantilevered timber pavilion that floats over a new reflecting pool.
Large sliding glass walls dissolve the boundary between inside and outside, while deep overhangs keep the summer sun out — passive design, not machines.
