A dusty storage attic converted into a master suite under the stars, with a full-height skylight.

Nobody had been up there in years. We insulated the roof from the outside to keep the beautiful old rafters visible, whitewashed them and cut a full-height skylight into the slope.

Built-in oak storage follows the roofline, so the room stays completely uncluttered — just linen, wool and sky.
